M208 - TMA04

Just finished M208-TMA04. Real Analysis. More difficult than I thought but I managed to complete the TMA.

  1. Analysis does seem to be one of the hardest parts of mathematics to get into. Partly because the skills needed are quite different from say being able to solve a complicated Integral or problem in combinatorics. For comparison of the OU course material with the best univeristy for maths in Britain i.e Cambridge university I enclose a link to their department where you can download links to their example sheets and course material. The material covered in Part 1A seems to be equivalent to M208 but probably more challenging

  2. "More difficult than I thought but I managed to complete the TMA"
Those words perfectly sum up my experience with Analysis A. Glad to see it wasn't just me.
That said, I think it may finally have been slotting into place by the time I'd got to the end of AA4...guess we'll see in a few weeks.

(Raumpatrouille – Die phantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffes Orion, colloquially aka Raumpatrouille Orion was the first German science fiction television series. Its seven episodes were broadcast by ARD beginning September 17, 1966. The series has since acquired cult status in Germany. Broadcast six years before Star Trek first aired in West Germany (in 1972), it became a huge success.)
